THE HUNT is on for robbers who stole handbags from two women in Bulwell, including a teenager who was heavily pregnant.
Detectives have released these albeit grainy CCTV images of men they would like to speak to in connection with the offences, which happened at or near tram stops.
The pregnant teenager was attacked as she was walking towards the Station Road tram stop at 9.15 pm on Saturday May 12.
She was approached by two white men. Without warning, one of them grabbed her handbag and then pulled her to the ground. She was dragged for a short distance.
The men fled in the direction of Deptford Bridge.
The victim suffered minor bumps and bruises but, fortunately, her unborn child was unharmed.
Officers believe the same men were responsible for a similar bag-snatch at 3.30 pm on the same day at the Highbury Vale tram stop.
This time, the 49-year-old victim had just got off a tram. The men spoke to her before stealing her handbag and fleeing in the direction of Neston Drive.
One of the suspects was aged between 20 and 30, between 5’8” and 5’10” tall and of slim build.
He wore a grey woolly hat, a white jacket with a dark horizontal stripe on the front, shorts and trainers.
The second man was also aged between 20 and 30, between 5’6” and 5’11” tall, of stocky build and had dark brown hair.
He wore a dark jacket with white on the top of the shoulders and dark trousers.
