A TEN-year-old pupil from Leen Mills Primary School in Hucknall has won a poster-design competition to promote safety at a housing development in the town.

ETHAN WRIGHT entered the competition after a tour of the Papplewick Green development, off Papplewick Lane, to teach children the dangers of playing on a building site.

Ethan’s bold design, which splashes the message ‘Children Keep Out’, was chosen the winner ahead of fellow Leen Mills youngsters ALYSIA FISHER (ten) and KIRSTY HARY (ten) after the judges were impressed by the detail of his poster.

A presentation was held at the school on Leen Mills Lane where David Wilson Homes’ sales adviser, Sarah Derbyshire, presented the trio with prizes of Toys R Us vouchers.
