KIND-hearted Hucknall residents are being urged to give blood to help make sure stocks stay healthy — and lives are saved — as winter approaches.
On Friday November 25, the NHS Blood and Transplant Service (NHSBT) is staging a blood-donor session at the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street.
Now the service wants as many locals as possible to take part as it bids to offset the annual dip in numbers who can make it to give blood.
The whole process takes about an hour, and the blood donated has the potential to save the lives of up to three people.
Anyone aged between 17 and 65, weighing more than 50kg (7 st 12lb) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor.
