PRANCING reindeer, festive bunnies and beautiful snow-covered scenery were all brought to life during a Christmas card-making workshop held at Hucknall Library.

A total of 23 children took part in the festive attraction as parents looked on at the venue on Market Place

Craft expert Kay Halliwell-Sutton was on hand to give advice.

She helped the youngsters design and then create their cards from scratch over two sessions last Saturday.

All the equipment and materials were provided for an event that was free of charge.

Cards created by those who took part will now be winging their way to loved ones, family and friends in time for the festive season.

Children were also encouraged to get crafty with their families at home and to create more cards and even Christmas decorations.

A spokeswoman for the libarry said: “It went very well and the cards created by the children were very beautiful.”

The event was laid on with the help of the owner of the library, Notts County Council.
