WITH response to the saga about Amy Short’s dog, Bobby, and the haircut he received at Ann’s Dog Parlour in Hucknall.
In reply to last week’s Letter from Lorraine Lawlor, which claimed that the photo of Bobby sent to the Dispatch was not him, I can say it definitely was Bobby!
I used to take my dog to Ann’s but I stopped because, as he got older, he developed warts and they kept shaving them.
I have no doubts that Ann is a caring animal-lover. She has dogs of her own. But to say things about Amy being a bad owner is not true at all.
Bobby is spoilt rotten and extremely well looked after. I personally know Amy, and she is OTT (in a nice way, of course) with the dog and there is no way she would let the dog come to any harm.
That is what a good dog-owner should be. Amy has researched the breed, so she knows all about the knots and his fur etc in Bobby’s coat.
In my opinion, Ann has made a mistake and should apologise.
