THE committee of the Hucknall Royal British Legion branch will shortly begin planning for this year’s Remembrance Day parade and service in the town on Sunday November 13.

In response to certain public comments made in the Dispatch after last year’s event, we would welcome anyone who feels that they would like to offer their assistance to join us at a preliminary meeting, to be held at the Legion Social Club on Beardall Street, Hucknall on Tuesday October 4 at 8.15 pm.

As the committee promised last year, we aim to improve on those areas of the service which were commented upon. This is, therefore, intended to be the first meeting bringing together all planning and participating elements for this year’s event.

If you voiced an opinion last year, please come and join us and help ensure Hucknall’s remembrance service remains worthy of the fantastic public support it receives.

DAVE HARDSTAFF,

c/o Branch Committee,

Hucknall Royal British Legion,

The Elms, Beardall Street,

Hucknall.
