I COME across this regularly and it infuriates me, I wondered whether anything has been written regarding it.
It is regarding the set of traffic lights between Annesley and Nottingham on the A611.
Why is it when I approach at greater than 60mph, even though it’s within the speed limit for a dual carriageway, the lights actively change to red, forcing me to brake and stop?
They cause a lot of unnecessary pollution and delay because I then have to waste fuel getting back up to speed!
If it is not desired for this stretch to be covered by the national speed-limit, then why isn’t it simply made into a 60mph zone?
It makes no sense.
