DEAR residents of Watnall Road in Hucknall. On Sunday June 10, the Rolls-Royce Leisure Junior Football Club staged its annual tournament.
Can I please offer my personal apology, as chairman of the junior section within Rolls-Royce, to all concerned. Our tournament is a vital fundraiser towards the club’s survival.
On the day, we were overwhelmed by the number of supporters coming to see more than 78 teams that were taking part, which resulted in a number of cars being parked near or over residents’ drives.
I can’t say sorry enough for the unforeseen problems this may have caused you. We have taken a lesson from this and any future events will be policed better.
I have been involved with the club for more than 14 years as a parent, coach and now as chairman. Rolls-Royce Leisure Juniors have played a vital part in the local community for the past 20 years, and also support children’s charities.
We, as a club committee, can only offer apologies to everyone and thank you all for your patience and understanding.
I would also like to offer Coun Mick Murphy, a Hucknall Conservative member of Notts County Council, a personal apology for any unforeseen problems we may have caused him.
Rolls-Royce Leisure JFC.
