WITH regard to the story in the April 13 issue of the Dispatch, entitled ‘Vision Needed To Protect Town Centre’, and the comments made by Hucknall’s Conservative MP, Mark Spencer.
I think Mr Spencer should ask the Hucknall people what they want to do with the money that has been allocated to the town.
Why pedestrianise this town when all we have are empty shops?
When we had our own council, this town was the best shopping town around.
I bet the miners who have gone are turning in their graves.
As for Gedling Borough Council trying to put houses on our Green Belt because its people don’t like it, Ashfield District Council should tell them to build on their own backyard. Why should we have them?
