Thanks for festive support during tough economic times
ON BEHALF of the members of the Hucknall Rotary Club, I would like to thank, as ever, the people of the town for their astonishing generosity at a time when pressures on their own incomes are severe.
The Santa Sleigh was out and about on 21 separate occasions during the Christmas season and ten of those were for use by local groups and charities, with the support of Rotarians, to boost their own funds.
All of those groups are as grateful as Rotary for being given the opportunity to continue to provide a range of voluntary services which benefit so many of the residents of Hucknall.
We were also delighted to see a record turnout of an estimated 7,000 people for the Christmas Carnival. We hope that it got everyone’s festive season off to a flying start and added to their overall enjoyment of Christmas.
The Rotary Club of Hucknall wishes all of you a happy and healthy New Year and looks forward to your continuing support in 2012.
