Bulwell completed only their second game in nine weeks with a comfortable 4-0 victory over lowly placed Wollaton to make it 12 wins from 12 games in the Notts Senior League.
The pitch was in very good condition considering the recent bad weather, but a little boggy in places, thus resulting in a game that never really had flowing football but was still a combative fixture.
The Bulls were almost gifted the dream start after on 48 seconds when a weak backpass was intercepted by Scott Litchfield whom rounded the keeper only to smash the ball into the side netting.
An early substitution was forced upon the Bulls with midfield stalwart Jake Keetley having to leave the field on six minutes with a knee injury, replaced by new signing Ian Marley.
The opener was a long time coming with both sides guilty of wasting some good opportunities, Allan Jeffries was then given a excellent chance but his effort was saved by the keeper.
Litchfield also went close, before Jeffries finally broke the deadlock with only six minutes left with an excellent volley into the bottom corner.
It was almost two within a minute with Scott Litchfield heading against the bar with the keeper beaten.
The second half saw the Bulls continue where they left off with a string of early chances going begging. The home side then began to create a few chances of their own with James Wheat being called upon a couple of times.
The frustration was clear to see from the Bulls whom should have had the game sewn up, and the two-goal cushion finally came when Jamie Walker produced some good work down the left and found Vipond at the far post who headed into an empty net.
The home side then had their best chance with a free header eight yards out that somehow ended up wide with the goal gaping.
Ryan King then added a third on 78 minutes, rounding the keeper, and Jay Knight rounded off the scoring with a powerful header from a Ross McCaughey corner.
