With two games to spare, it’s a familiar name on the HUCKNALL SIX-A-SIDE LEAGUE trophy because Abu Dhabi have done it again.

A 4-0 victory over Asian Persuasion, inspired by man-of-the-match Jack Walker, sealed another title for Abu Dhabi and extended their unbeaten run to 20 matches at the head of the Leisure Leagues competition, which is played every Monday night at The National Academy.

The race is now on for the runners-up spot, with Naughty America in pole position after an impressive first season in the league. With Jack Paterson starring again, they beat KFC 7-1 in their latest fixture to maintain a three-point gap between themselves and Team 316.

Team 316 have two games in hand, but their hopes took a knock in a 4-3 defeat against Heaton Sports, for whom Mick Savage took the man-of-the-match bouquet.

At the bottom of the table, The Hornets look destined for the wooden spoon after handing a 5-0 walkover win to Wa1tz D1sn3y. However, Murder on Zidane’s Floor are back in the mire after a 6-0 hammering at the hands of The Groomsmen, whose rampant mood was typified by man-of-the-match Richard Kimble.

The final match of the night resulted in a 3-3 draw between Warriors, who will finish fifth in the table, and Baywatch Babes, who remain the league’s highest scorers with 110 goals in 20 matches and still have an outside chance of snatching the runners-up prize.
