Only a dramatic collapse in the last two weeks of the season can prevent Abu Dhabi retaining their HUCKNALL MONDAY NIGHT SIX-A-SIDE LEAGUE title at The National Academy.

Abu Dhabi chalked up their 11th consecutive victory in the Leisure Leagues competition this week - and also boosted their goal-difference to plus-44 -- when they beat Heaton Sports 6-3.

It maintained their four-point lead at the top and although they play second-placed Warriors on the last night of the campaign, victory over K.F.C. next week would make them uncatchable.

However, K.F.C. might give them a game after securing only their second win of the campaign this week -- 2-0 over Jurassic Pork -- which enabled them to leapfrog Heaton at the bottom of the table. The pair tackle each other in the final match in what could be a play-off for the wooden spoon.

This week’s remaining two fixtures resulted in victories for second-placed Warriors and third-placed Team 216. The former kept their faint title hopes alive by beating The Groomsmen 4-1, while the latter sank Baywatch Babes by the same scoreline, giving them a golden chance of snatching the runners-up spot.
