Adam Murray insists Mansfield Town will head for the cauldron of Fratton Park ready to ‘give it a good go’ against Portsmouth on Saturday.

The South Coast giants ended a run of three home defeats with a Checkatrade Trophy success against League One Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

But Mansfield are also full of confidence after two successive decent performances, winning 3-2 at Derby County U23s on Tuesday, and Stags boss Murray said: “It’s obviously a good game to go into, but we are going into it wanting to win.
