The latest FA Cup glory run of legendary former Hucknall Town manager Steve Burr came to an end on Tuesday night.

But not before a glamorous night for his non-league Chester side in front of the TV cameras.

Chester’s FA Cup, Second Round replay at home to Barnsley, of League Two, was televised live on BT Sport, whose coverage included a full interview with Burr , who bossed Town in 2003/04. And the tie attracted a crowd of 3,534 at the Deva Stadium, almost double that for Mansfield Town’s replay at home to Cambridge United on the same night.

But two goals from Dale Jennings and one from Kane Hemmings sentenced the 54-year-old Burr’s Vanarama Conference outfit to a 3-0 defeat and denied them another money-spinning tie against Championship high-fliers Middlesbrough in the next round.
