Hucknall Town are to say thankyou to their fans at a special night with former Nottingham Forest legend Kenny Burns (pictured).
Burns, who is now 60, was one of the heroes who helped Forest win two European Cups under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor during a four-year spell at the City Ground between 1977 and 1981. He formed a formidable defensive partnership with Larry Lloyd.
Now he is the star guest at a sportsman’s evening at the Talk Of The Town social club at Town’s Watnall Road ground tonight (Friday).
“It is a free event to say thankyou to everyone who has supported us in the season just finished -- and also for anyone wanting a night out,” says Yellows boss Andy Graves.
Burns, who also won 20 international caps for Scotland and played for several other clubs including Birmingham City and Leeds United, will be presenting all of Town’s end-of-season awards.
The night, which kicks off at 7.45 pm, will feature entertainment and a free buffet too.
