Happy Linby Colliery Welfare have been handed the best possible draw in the semi-finals of the Notts FA Saturday Intermediate County Cup.
Linby, of the Central Midlands League’s (CML) South Division, are at home to Sandhurst, who are struggling in the bottom four of the level below them, the Notts Senior League’s (NSL) Senior Division.
Fwllow CML outfit, Bilsthorpe, who have lost only once all season in the North Division, travel to meet another NSL outfit, Cotgrave, in the second semi. The ties are scheduled for Saturday 7th February.
In the Notts FA Saturday Senior County Cup, Retford United, the team who knocked out the last local survivors, Hucknall Rolls Leisure, last week, have been drawn away to Clipstone, who play a division below them in the Northern Counties East league.
The other tie will be between cup holders Carlton Town or Basford United, whose quarter-final was postponed for a second time on Tuesday night, and Dunkirk. The date for both games is Tuesday 10th February.
