Premier League champions Manchester City are ready to smash their transfer record by shelling out £60 million to sign midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid.

That’s according to today’s football rumour mill, which also suggests that Gareth Bale could join Manchester United on loan, and Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set for a summer clearout.
