Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray will send a Stags XI to Barnsley for the testimonial match of former defender Bobby Hassell later next month.
The match will take place on Saturday, 18 July at Oakwell - with the Barnsley first team taking on a Mansfield Town XI. Kick off is at 3pm.
Bobby will captain the Reds as his two former sides meet for this celebratory fixture to give the fans and Bobby the opportunity to celebrate his 10 years in the red of Barnsley. Prior to signing for the South Yorkshire club, Hassell made over 150 appearances in a seven year spell at the Stags between 1997 to 2004.
Mansfield Town Adam Murray said: “It will be a great occasion for Bobby. He is a rare breed in football in the sense that he has played for two clubs for such a long spell in his career.
“To stay at two clubs and be so successful and effective is a credit to him and to earn a testimonial with Barnsley Football Club is testament to his person and character.”
He added: “Bobby is one of the most loyal and honest of people I have met in the game.”
Tickets for the game will be priced at £10 adults, £5 concessions.
