Mansfield Town will be hoping Jamie McGuire will be fit enough for the battle ahead at Luton Town on Saturday after suffering a real scare with a leg injury last week.
Tough cookie midfielder McGuire was hurt so badly in a challenge in training on Thursday that his leg ballooned in size and he passed out.
Thankfully, hospital examinations could find nothing serious and he was smiling and joking from the stands on Saturday.
“We planned for Jamie to play against Wycombe and were devastated he couldn’t,” said Murray.
“He took a whack in training last Thursday and we had to rush him to hospital.
“There was a bit of a worry for a few hours, it was quite serious, but thankfully he is okay.
“He’s not going to be too long and it’s a relief he is okay. He’s my player of the month and he gives us that toughness and that leadership in there.”
