Former Mansfield Town striker Lee Gregory has signed a three-year deal for Championship club Millwall after a reported £250,000 move from Conference club FC Halifax Town.

The 25-year-old came through the ranks as a Stags trainee in 2009 but only played twice, scoring once, before moving on to Halifax.

This season the part-time electrician fired home 30 goals in 37 appearances for Halifax as they ended up losing Conference play-off finalists.

A host of clubs including Celtic, Wigan, Cardiff, and Derby had been keeping tabs on his displays.

Gregory netted an impressive 72 goals in 112 appearances for the Shaymen.
