A second successive hat-trick by hotshot Jacob Rizdon extended their unbeaten run of HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-15S RED at the top of the NOTTS YOUTH LEAGUE’S Sunday First Division.

Man-of-the-match Rizdon, who scored four the previous week, netted three this time as Sports hammered Calverton Miners Welfare Red 5-0.

Adam Morley and Kieran Orange were also on target.

THE moods were very different in the camps of BULWELL RANGERS UNDER-18S and HUCKNALL WARRIORS UNDER-18S after the latest round of matches in the Sunday Second Division of the Notts Youth League.

For while Rangers surged further clear at the top of the table, fellow title-chasers Warriors suffered their third costly defeat on the spin.

The Bulwell outfit recorded an impressive 4-1 victory over fourth-placed Calverton Miners Welfare, with striker-in-form Kyle Nutt netting a hat-trick. Liam Towle scored the other goal and Kieran Bingham scooped the man-of-the-match award.

Warriors suffered a surprise 3-1 reverse at home to mid-table Keyworth United Green, despite a goal by Luke Atter and a man-of-the-match display by Daniel Noble.

In the same division, the disappointing season of HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-18S RED continued with a hefty 7-1 defeat away to Inter City. James Stokes was on target in the 35th minute for Sports, whose man-of-the-match was William Scarbro. But Inter extended their 3-1 half-time lead with a hat-trick from Tamar Thomas.

HAPPY HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-16S WHITE celebrated only their third win of the season in the Saturday Second Division of the Notts Youth League. After 13 defeats in 18 matches, Sports thumped fellow strugglers West Bridgford Eagles 3-0.

A BASEMENT battle between ROLLS-ROYCE LEISURE UNDER-15S and Edwalton Cavaliers finished all-square at 1-1 in the Notts Youth League’s Saturday First Division.

Rolls, who have won just once this term, led 1-0 at the break but were pegged back in the second half by a goal by Michael Roche for the bottom-of-the-table visitors, who collected only their third point of the campaign.

A CONVINCING 4-2 victory away to bottom-of-the-table Priory Celtic White returned HUCKNALL SPORTS UNDER-10S WHITE to winning ways in the Saturday Second Division of the YOUNG ELIZABETHAN LEAGUE.

After a disappointing 1-0 loss to fellow mid-tablers Gedling Southbank Red the previous week, Sports were soon playing some fine passing football and took the lead when Jayden Goodman’s terrific cross was volleyed home by Jack Harrison.

More good work by Goodman set up Matthew Snell for the second goal -- only for Priory to hit back with two goals of their own before the interval as Ben Howarth and Tom Reeves struck.

Sports’ lead was restored by Jordan Brown, who rocketed home a header from a corner by Owen Stubbs-Booth. And inspired by superb tackling by man-of-the-match Ashley Wood, they sealed the points when a pass from Ciaran McBride found Kenan Burton, who shot home.
