Mansfield Town fans will travel over 6,000 miles supporting their team home and away this season, new research has revealed.

Stags’ supporters will chalk up 6,644 miles to be precise if they attend the full 46 matches.

The average Stags fan will spend over 120 hours driving through the course of the campaign - totalling just under £1,100 spent on the road.

Altogether, League Two clubs and their supporters will travel a total of 178,000 miles this season.

Carlisle United top the distance table with a total of 11,877 miles on the road - over twice as far as Northampton Town, who have the fewest miles to travel at 5,390 over the course of the campaign.

The Stags’ longest journey of the season will be February’s visit to Plymouth Argyle - a 532-mile round trip by car, taking over eight hours in total.

The research was conducted by JustPark, the parking app, which lets football fans book cut-price parking spaces on local people’s driveways.
