As if a 5-0 defeat was not galling enough, the bad news for Hucknall side HALF MOON is that they face the same opponents again this Sunday.

Struggling Moon became the first team this season to lose to Clumber, who have recruited several new players after looking in danger of folding a few weeks ago.

The reverse left them next to bottom in the Premier Premier Division of the Notts Sunday Morning League. So they will be hoping it won’t be a question of same place, same outcome when they tackle Clumber again in the league cup this weekend.

Norma Hatfield’s side, who were missing four of their most experienced players, could have taken an early lead when striker Martin Lester narrowly missed the target.

But once Clumber had settled into their rhythm, their pacy attacks caused all sorts of problems.

Moon ‘keeper Jamie Taylor pulled off some wonderful saves in a man-of-the-match performance, but he was beaten by three goals from Lamin Camera and two from Liam Taylor.
