Seven different players got on the scoresheet as rampant HUCKNALL WARRIORS UNDER-13S RED showed no mercy to Calverton Miners Welfare Maroon in the Saturday Third Division of the Young Elizabethan League.

Warriors led only 2-1 at half-time, but by the end, they were convincing 10-3 winners after pouring forward with all guns blazing.

George Blatherwick netted the opening goal in the 15th minute, and after Calverton had equalised, an excellent finish by Jack Bradley restored Warriors’ lead. Two quickfire strikes by substitute Curtis Rigley set the second half alight before Jude Preece marked his 100th appearance for the club with a goal.

Lewis Radford and an own goal made it 6-1 and although the home side pulled two back, Warriors weren’t finished yet and added three more through man-of-the-match Kian Williams (2) and Bradley Kernaghan.

GOALS from Niall Hylton, Liam Smith and Kamani Wilson earned three points for HUCKNALL HARRIER UNDER-14S BLACK in the Young Elizabethan League.

With Ewan Pearson also shining, Harrier beat Stapleford Villa 3-1 to move up to third in the Saturday First Division table, only three points behind the leaders.

A CRACKING top-of-the-table clash between BULWELL ATHLETIC UNDER-14S and Priory Celtic White ended all-square at 2-2 in the Young Elizabethan League’s Saturday Second Division.

Curtis Taylor and man-of-the-match Mitchuall Cox were on target for Athletic, with all four goals coming in the opening half.

A SUPERB start to the season of six straight victories was brought to an end for tabletopping HUCKNALL HARRIER UNDER-14S YELLOW.

Harrier went down 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller away to Gedling Southbank in the Saturday Third Division of the Young Elizabethan League. Charlie Breslin, Blaine Pincott, Kaydn Bush and Edward Morgan scored their goals.
