The popularity of the HUCKNALL SIX-A-SIDE LEAGUE at The National Academy is increasing with every new season that gets under way. For a bumper entry of 12 teams has led to the tournament, run by Leisure Leagues, being split into two divisions -- the Premier League and the Championship.

However, one thing never changes -- the familiar sight of reigning champions Abu Dhabi sitting proudly on top of the table after victories in the opening two weeks against Asian Persuasion (6-0) and Baywatch Babes (6-2). Only one other side, Team 316, are still unbeaten after they beat Warriors 5-2 and drew 2-2 with Kirkby Youth.

In The Championship, just one team, Hucknall Harriers, have won both games so far -- 2-1 against Murder On Zidane’s Floor and 3-1 against Wa1tz D1sn3y. The Murderers bounced back with a 4-1 win over The Groomsmen, which featured a second successive man-of-the-match display by Mark Wells.
