England’s future is in a safe pair of hands with Roy Hodgson at the helm, believes Sir Trevor Brooking.
The retiring Football Association director of football development gave his backing to the England boss and also said the nation now had the necessary structure in place to bring young talent through.
England, who beat Switzerland in midweek during their first qualifier for Euro 2016, aim to put the necesssary long-term structure in place to win the Euro 2020.
Sir Trevor was speaking at the Houses of Parliament, where he helped mark the sixth millionth place on the FA Skills Programme.
