Although the start of his second year in charge did not get off to the best of starts with Tuesday’s home defeat by Exeter City, Adam Murray enjoyed an impressive first year as Mansfield Town manager.
His anniversary came up last weekend when Stags defeated Hartlepool United 3-1, a result that kept Stags in the top six on the day, though they did drop to eighth after the 2-0 home defeat on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, Murray has already kept a poor Stags side in the Football League last season, almost completely changed the playing staff and their style of play and methods of preparation as well revamping the club behind the scenes from top to bottom.
But still it would seem he has a few supporters yet to convince and has been upset by some of the stick he has taken, having taken the club so far so quickly.
