ANGLING: Rob lands 50lb haul

ON a day of several big catches at HUCKNALL ANGLERS’ match at the Oaktree at Brinsley, Rob Daws topped the lot with a net full which weighed in at 51lbs and 14 ounces.

Fourteen anglers took part in the event and Trev Tideswell was second with 45-10 just ahead of third-placed Ray Pickin who landed 42-2.

Other weights landed on the day were: Arthur Daws 36-6; Brian Cross 29-6; Chris Porter (22-9); Tom Bakewell 20-7; Russ Tideswell 19-11; Derek Brough 19-7; Dennis Hall 17-1; Dave Clarke 16-6; Len Gill 15-11; Ken Shaw 11-14; Tony Beastall 8-8.
