TOP-of-the-table Bulwell continued their outstanding, 100% start to the new Notts Senior League, Senior Division Season with a spiky 4-2 win over Attenborough.

The Bulls were soon in charge of proceedings with Scott Litchfield, Jamie Moore and Shaun Vipond all going close to opening the scoring.

Boro had a half chance on 12 minutes but the rock-solid Bulwell defence stood firm.

The Bulls were producing some excellent football with man of the match Jamie Walker causing problems down the left, though just before the half-hour mark Boro should have done better when Chris Myton beat the offside trap but Ian Wheat stood tall and pulled off an excellent stop,

The opener finally came a minute before the interval when Ryan King showed his electrifying pace to slot the ball under the advancing keeper.

The second-half began in frenetic fashion with four goals in the first 11 minutes.

First Attenborough’s Alex Oldham headed home from a corner for 1-1, but within a minute King had converted a Walker through ball to put Bulwell back in front.

The lead only lasted two minutes as defensive lapses left Richardson with an easy task for 2-2.

The Bulls then added a third on 56 with club captain Dwayne Soar’s cross inch perfect for Litchfield to head home from close range.

The game changed on 70 minutes when Myton saw red for the Boro after striking out at Soar, before substitute James Buck netted a rebound from King’s shot with only his second touch three minutes from time to secure the win.
