In total, Rose made 72 appearances since joining from home town club Barnsley two years ago and was a vital component of the Shakers’ League Two promotion-wining side in his first season.

Rose had one year remaining on his contract at Gigg Lane, but will now become the third forward to leave the club this summer, after the departures of Ryan Lowe and Daniel Nardiello.
