Cross stars as campaign winds towards a close

AS THE season flows towards its finale, Brian Cross was the star of the show in HUCKNALL ANGLERS’ penultimate Sunday match of the season.

For he recorded a bag weighing in at 24lb 14oz to take the honours — ahead of second-placed Derek Brough (17-10) — at Wellow Dam near Ollerton, North Nottinghamshire.

Other weights recorded were: Arthur Daws 14-6, Rob Daws 12-13, Ray Pickin 10-7, Dennis Hall 9-12, Trev Tideswell 7-7, Ken Shaw 7-7, Terry Coltart 6-6, Russ Tideswell 6-2, Pat Hall 5-11, Brad Livock 2-1, Chris Porter 1-14, Tom Bakewell 0-3, Dave Clarke 0-3.

Len Gill and Tony Beastall did not trouble the scales.
