DOMINOES: Hope for the chasing pack
THE CHASING pack have been given fresh hope after runaway leaders Talk Of The Town succumbed to only their second defeat of the season in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE.
It looked as if the campaign was turning into a one-horse race.
But Town, who are based at Hucknall Town Football Club’s Talk Of The Town Social Club, dropped points in a 3-2 reverse at home to Hucknall Constitutional Club.
Second-placed Station Hotel (Hucknall) B took full advantage to cut the lead to four points with a comprehensive 4-1 win at Little John.
They are joined by namesakes and one-time leaders Station Hotel (Newstead), who found some form after a recent rough spell to send George Street Club packing 4-1.
Shamrock missed out on the opportunity to make it a three-way tie in second when they went down 3-2 in a surprise home defeat against strugglers Royal British Legion.
In the final two results, Crafty Conny overcame Bentinck Club 4-1, while Empire Strikes Back continue to prop up the rest after losing 3-2 to Bestwood Village Social Club.
