DOMINOES: Leaders’ dramatic decline continues

THE DRAMATIC decline of former leaders Station Hotel (Newstead) continued with their third defeat in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE title race.

After winning their first six matches of the campaign, Station fell 3-2 at home to Talk Of The Town, who have now surged four points clear at the top of the table.

The week’s matches featured three other 3-2 scorelines, with third-placed Station Hotel (Hucknall) B tumbling to defeat at Bestwood Village Social Club, Shamrock shading George Street B and Little John getting the better of bottom-of-the-table Royal British Legion.

The other two fixtures resulted in 5-0 whitewashes — for Bentinck Club, at home to struggling Empire Strikes Back, and for Crafty Conny, who showed no mercy on their inter-club rivals, Constitutional Club.
