DOMINOES: Top-notch Town are Talking big

TALK Of The Town are beginning to turn the Hucknall Winter Dominoes League into a one-horse race.

For after a 5-0 whitewash of George Street B in their latest match, the team based at Hucknall Town Football Club’s social club forged SIX points clear at the top of the table as the season reached its halfway stage.

Early-season leaders Station Hotel (Newstead) continued their demise when falling 3-2 at home to Bestwood Village Social Club.

It was their fourth defeat in five games, after winning their first six, and they have now fallen to fourth spot — behind both Station Hotel (Hucknall) B, who won 3-2 at Empire Strikes Back, and Shamrock, who beat Constitutional Club 3-2.

In the week‘s other fixtures, Crafty Conny defeated bottom-of-the-table Royal British Legion 3-2, while Little John thumped Bentinck Club 4-1.
