THE EVER-improving swimmers of HUCKNALL FALCON recorded a bumper haul of personal-best (PB) times while competing in a stage-three gala at Arnold Leisure Centre.

Winners on the day were senior boys’ captain Calum Murray in the 14-and-over boys’ 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly, both in PB times, and Kyle Raison in the 12 and 13-year-olds’ 100m butterfly

Runners-up places were recorded by Daniel Terry (14-and-over boys’ 100m breaststroke) and Raison in the 12 and 13-year-olds’ 100m freestyle

But the event was most notable for the improvement in times recorded by: Murray, Sam Murden, Daniel Terry and James Terry (individual PBs as part of 14-and-over boys’ 4x50m freestyle relay),

Madison Moss-Hayes (50m breaststroke as part of 10/11-year-old girls’ 4x50m medley relay), Sophie Hutson (50m freestyle as part of 10/11-year-old girls’ 4x50m medley relay), Owen Boag (50m freestyle as part of 10/11-year-olds’ 4x50m medley relay), Sophie Melvin, Ellie-May Gunn (junior girl’s captain) and Emma Hutson (individual PBs as part of 12/13-year-old girls’ 4x50m freestyle relay), Sean Waterhouse and Archie Penlington (indivifual PBs as part of 12/13-year-old boys’ 4x50m freestyle relay), Sophie Hutson (ten/11-year-olds’ 100m backstroke, 50m freestyle as part of 10/11-year-old girls’ 4x50m freestyle relay and 50m backstroke as part of 12/13-year-old girls’ 4x50m medley relay), Pierce Raynor (ten/11-year-olds’ 100m backstroke), Ellie-May Gunn (junior girls’ captain in 12/13-year-olds’ 100m butterfly), Lauren Straw (14-and-over girls’ 100m freestyle),
