Falcon hit by relegation

DISAPPOINTED Hucknall Falcon have suffered the blow of relegation from Division One of the Sports Centre League after finishing last in their latest gala.

The locals will now do battle in Division Two but are continuing to focus on the positives after a series of more personal-best (PB) times in the clash at Arnold Leisure Centre.

Top of the pile on the night was once again senior boys’ captain Calum Murray, who registered the only Falcon win by touching first in the 15-and-under boys 100m individual medley.

There were also a treble of runners-up spots secured:

Kyle Raison (13-and-under 50m butterfly);

Ryan Patel (11-and-under 50m breaststroke);

and Murray (15-and-under 50m butterfly and 15-and-under 100m freestyle.

PB times were registered by: Victoria Widdowson (15-and-under girls’ 100m individual medley, open girls’ 100m freestyle and open girls’ 100m backstroke). Sam Murden (open boys’ 100m butterfly), Harvey Green (11-and-under boys’ 50m backstroke and 11-and-under boys’ 50m butterfly), Sophie Melvin (13-and-under girls’ 100m individual medley) and Kyle Raison (13-and-under boys’ 100m freestyle).

n RESULT — Sherwood A 215 points, Calverton and Bingham 174, Worksop 171, Retford 155, Mansfield 135, FALCON 87.
