Flurry of best times

HUCKNALL FALCON finished rock-bottom in their latest outing — but swimmers and coaches are still taking positives from a host of personal-best (PB) performances.

Competing in the latest round of the Sports Centre League at Bingham Leisure Centre, Falcon registered just 83 points, which was 123 behind winners Sherwood.

The only win registered on the night came from senior boys’ captain Calum Murray, who topped the podium in the 15-and-under boys’ 100m individual medley in a PB time.

Murray also secured the only runner-up spot of the gala with second in the 15-and-under boys’ 100m backstroke.

Results for our Sports Centre League gala on 15th September at Bingham Leisure Centre.

On a night when Emily Butler made her debut in the girls’ nine-and-under girls’ races, PBs were collected by:

Archie Penlington (13-and-under boys’ 100m backstroke and 13-and-under boys’ 100m breaststroke), Emma Hutson (13-and-under girls’ 100m backstroke), Adam Webber (junior boys’ captain in the 11-and-under boys’ 50m backstroke), Sophie Hutson (11-and-under girls’ 50m backstroke), Kyle Raison (13-and-under boys’ 50m butterfly, 13-and-under boys’ 100m individual medley and 13-and-under boys’ 100m freestyle), Jess Hutson (open girls’ 100m individual medley), Ryan Patel (11-and-under boys’ 50m breaststroke), Sam Murden (15-and-under boys’ butterfly), Daniel Terry (open boys’ 100m freestyle), Sophie Melvin (13-and-under girls’ 100m individual medley).
