Lyttle and players focused on results
CALM Hucknall Town boss Des Lyttle says he and his players are concentrating on results on the pitch, rather than behind-the-scenes troubles off it.
The club has stumbled from one crisis to another this season and ex-Nottingham Forest defender Lyttle said: “It’s not great, you kind of know what’s going on and you hear rumours, but I’m not privy to everything.
“The takeover hasn’t gone through as planned, but I’ve just got to prepare a squad of lads for a game of football. That’s what I’ve got to do.
“It would be great if everything was smooth off the park, but that’s not to be. We aren’t in a bad position in the league and that’s credit to the boys. They probably aren’t interested in what’s going on off the field.”
Lyttle’s focus continues to be trained on the games ahead.
Lyttle says his charges are determined to put a run of positive results together.
“You earn the right to win matches,” said the gaffer. “We have got to make sure our mental attitude is right.”
