Top two locked on same points

THE BLOW-for-blow battle for supremacy in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE continues between Conny A and Shamrock with the top two only separated by leg difference.

Conny hold sway at the summit after registering a 3-2 victory away at mid-table Talk Of The Town, which gives them a plus-19 leg difference.

But tied with them on 16 points are Shamrock, who improved their chase with a 4-1 success over George Street Working Men’s Club to leave them with a plus-13 leg difference.

The top dogs now have a four-point buffer over third-placed Bestwood Village Social Club, despite the Villagers beating Empire Strikes Back 3-2.

Elsewhere, struggling Bentinck collected only their third victory of the campaign when beating Nabb Inn 3-2 to climb off the foot of the table.

That result leaves George Street Working Men’s Club A propping up the rest after they went down 3-2 at Royal British Legion.

The final result of the latest round saw Station Hotel (Hucknall) B narrowly see off Sherwood Ranger 3-2.
