The two sides who have dominated the HUCKNALL DOMINOES LEAGUE over the past year have made mixed starts to the new Winter League campaign.
Shamrock and Bestwood Village Social Club have finished first or second in both of the most recent summer and winter leagvue seasons.
But they have each won one and lost one so far this time around, with defending winter title-holders Bestwood losing 3-2 at Empire on the opening night.
The second round of fixtures brought the big guns together, with Bestwood inflicting a 4-1 defeat on Shamrock, who had beaten Royal British Legion 3-2 in their first match.
After the opening fortnight, the leaders are Bentinck Club, who followed up a 4-1 hammering of Central Club with a 3-2 success away to Sherwood Ranger.
Also boasting a flawless 100% record are Conny, who have celebrated 3-2 victories over Royal British Legion and George Street.
Legion are one of two sides yet to register a point in the ten-team league. The other are Sherwood Ranger, who launched their term with a 4-1 defeat awat to Station PH.
