BLOWN-away Papplewick and Linby were on the receiving end of a rare century as they were destroyed in Zone D of the Bassetlaw League’s Mallen Twenty20 Trophy.
The ton was scored by Blidworth Colliery Welfare’s David Willcock in just 57 balls. It was spiced with five sixes and ten fours.
What’s more, the home side posted 207 for four at more than ten an over with Martin Overton also hitting 46 from 21 balls (four sixes and two fours).
Michael South (two for 42 from four overs) was the best bowler.
In reply, Papp were reeling on 15 for two and although Joe Walker (50, one six and eight fours) hit a classy half-century, the locals were never in with a chance as they finished on 119 for seven.
Blidworth’s best bowler was the aforementioned Overton (three for 18 from four overs).
