RELIEVED Talk Of The Town finally got off the mark for the new season in the HUCKNALL SUMMER DOMINOES LEAGUE.
Last season’s champions had suffered defeats in each of their opening matches. But they bounced back to form with a 4-1 triumph away to Shamrock.
Gunning for Talk Of The Town’s title are Bestwood Village Social Club, who are now the only side in the league with a 100% record after the first three weeks of the campaign.
In their latest success, Bestwood inflicted a 4-1 defeat on bottom-of-the-table Station PH, who are the only side in the league yet to pick up a point. It was the first leg dropped this term by the tabletoppers.
The week’s remaining fixtures resulted in 3-2 victories for Crafty Conny, Station Hotel (Hucknall) B and George Street B.
Crafty Conny defeated Bentinck Conservative Club 3-2, while Station B became the first team to beat second-placed Royal British Legion (3-2). Meanwhile George Street B edged out Conny A.
