DOMINOES: Station show their six appeal

IT’S A case of six of the best for Station Hotel (Newstead) at the top of the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE.

For league newcomers Station extended their 100% start to the campaign with a sixth straight victory — 3-2 at home to struggling Empire Strikes Back.

The Newstead outfit head the table by two points from Talk Of The Town, who defeated Little John 4-1.

There is then another two-point gap to Station Hotel (Hucknall) B, who won 3-2 at George Street B, and yet another to a cluster of four teams, all of whom have won three, lost three.

Other results in the latest round of fixtures saw Crafty Conny whitewash Shamrock 5-0 and defending champions Constitutional Club beat Bentinck Club 4-1.

But the biggest cheer was reserved for bottom-of-the-table Royal Brith Legion, who finally celebrated their first victory, after five losses, when they won 3-2 at Bestwood Village Social Club.
