A former ladies captain at Southwell’s Norwood Park Golf Club is celebrating after bagging a hole in one.
Lynne Inman, who plays off a handicap of 11.8, hit the dream shot on the par 3 12th hole of the course whilst competing in the club’ last Winter Pairs Order of Merit Competition.
Thrilled Lynne said: “Getting a hole in one is probably the best feeling that you can have in golf, it is quite an emotional experience.
“The shot was round about 100 yards down hill, the ball came off the club beautifully and looked good all the way, it pitched a couple of inches in front of the hole and dropped in on the second bounce.
“This is my first but hopefully not my last hole in one.”
It is the latest success story to come out of the popular club, and follows onfrom the news that it has made the final three of 2014 England Golf Golfmark Club of the Year.

They put the love of the game at the centre of all they do and in doing so have become a shining light for the region, the recent success of the Team members and individuals is outstanding”
