TWO golfing youngsters have proven they share the same talent — as well as the same name.

For Jason Moore (13), of Hucknall, and his partner, Jason Low (13), of Arnold, stormed to victory in the Wardman and Carr Nett Trophy junior competition at Southwell Golf Club.

A total of 58 pairs took part in the prestigious event and the boys’ winning score was 64 (nett).

The icing on the cake was a brilliant hole-in-one by the Hucknall boy on the fourth.

The two Jasons are members of Nottingham City Golf Club in Bulwell and play league golf for the junior squad.

Jason Moore lives on Wood Lane, Hucknall, and goes to the town’s Holgate Comprehensive School.

He has been with Nottingham City since he first took up golf about two-and-a-half years ago.

His mum, Sharon, said: “It was a fantastic day of golf and it was the boys’ first big success.”

Sharon said the boys wanted to thank their junior organiser, Adrian Newton, and the club’s sponsor, Jim Turner, for their support.
