Falcon adopted the hashtag #FAST (Falcon Amateur Swimming Team) on Twitter after beating four other clubs, including local rivals, Hucknall and Linby Dolphins.

In all, they racked up 15 victories, eight second places and 14 personal-best (PB) times, delighting head coach Ian Melvin, who said: “It was a great result, and nice to see us continue to progress.”

The wins were led by Amelia Sale, who completed a hat-trick in the girls’ open 100m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke. Sale also featured in the victorious mixed open 4X50m medley relay team, alongside Ben Canavan-Taylor, James Terry and Sophie Melvin, and in the victorious 12X25m cannon relay team.

Doubles were achieved by Kyle Raison in the boys’ open 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly and by Grace Allsop in the 12-and-under girls’ 100m freestyle and 100m breaststroke.
