THE DUST has now settled after a hard-fought season and now it’s time for the players of the ROLLS-ROYCE LEISURE Bowls Club to celebrate an impressive haul of five titles.

The outfit had to play a waiting game to confirm their final finishing positions after completing their fixtures ahead of some of their rivals.

Now they can proudly reveal that they were crowned champions in five of the six leagues they contested,

In Division One of the Notts EBA 3x4 league, the locals played 14 games, winning 12 and registering 66.6 points — a full 12 ahead of their nearest challengers.

Silverware was secured in Division Two of the Notts EBA Mixed League by virtue of ten wins from 14 matches and a total of 68 points — a margin of 5.5.

Rolls recorded 13 wins and one draw from their 16 matches in Division One of the Notts Mixed Federation to take the title by 14.5 points.

A record of nine wins and five defeats in 14 outings in Division One of the Notts Federation Midweek 3x3 League was enough to land the title by three points, while 14 wins secured top spot in Division One of the Notts Saturday Federation 3x3 competition.

In making their debut in Division Three of the Ashfield Saturday 4x2 competition, Rolls finished third.
