THE youngsters of HUCKNALL FALCON showed plenty of promise for the future in a Notts ASA Stage One Trophy Gala at Bramcote Leisure Centre.

Falcon finished last of the four competing teams and registered only one individual victory, courtesy of Katrine Wilson in the eight-year-old girls’ 50m breaststroke.

But no fewer than ten of their swimmers clocked personal-best (PB) times, while four made it into second place.

The PBs were achieved by: Wilson, Zac Biggs (eight-year-old boys’ 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle), George Webster (ten-year-old boys’ 50m freestyle), Eve Tuckwood (nine-year-old girls’ 50m backstroke), Daniel Gudgeon (nine-year-old boys’ 50m backstroke), Ellie Barker (11-year-old girls’ 50m breaststroke and ten-year-old girls’ 50m backstroke), Max Boag (eight-year-old boys’ 50m backstroke), Emily Butler (nine-year-old girls’ 50m butterfly), Ryan Sanders (nine-year-old boys’ 50m freestyle) and Falcon’s junior boys’ captain, Harvey Green (11-year-old boys’ 50m butterfly).

The runners-up places were obtained by Ryan Patel (ten-year-old boys’ 50m breaststroke), junior girls’ captain Elise Connor (11-year-old girls’ 50m freestyle), Emily Butler (nine-year-old girls’ 50m freestyle) and the mixed cannon 8X25, relay team of Wilson, Boag, Butler, Gudgeon, Ellie Barker, Patel, Connor and Green.

The final overall positions were: 1st Sherwood, 2nd Leander, 3rd Bramcote, 4th FALCON.
