A TaekWonDo club in Mansfield Woodhouse have been added to the talent club programme, a nationwide initiative that aims to improve the quality of coaching and classes within it’s selected members.

Kang Han,which is based on Kingsley Avenue, joins a prestigious list of clubs working towards full talent status of the initiative, which is funded by Sport England.

Adrian Tranter, senior instructor at the club, said: “Being able to impact the talent pathway, and to give young athletes the chance to realise their potential has always been at the heart of what we do.

“Working with GB TaekWonDo provides an opportunity for our club and our athletes to become as successful as they can be. Everyone at Kang Han is fully supportive of this excellent programme.”

The club’s addition to the ever improving pool of talent isn’t just beneficial for Kang Han, but it increases the quality of TaekWonDo nationwide, according to coach systems officer, Craig Richards.

“This new addition strengthens our group. As a club, they continue to work hard to support our initiatives,” he said. “It’s apparent from Kang Han’s current athletes that their club is clearly bearing fruit.”
